A New Year Wish & Looking Back at The Year That Was

Lifestyle of a Professional

Hi everyone, wishing all of you a very very happy new year!! I am a big believer of doing good and positive things on the first day of the year and right in the morning, I make a wish for you and your family –

Happy New Year 2016

Looking back at the year that has gone by, it has had it’s share of highs and lows. Personally, my baby turned 5 and we had awesome parties (yes in plural) to celebrate her Five years. I travelled a lot less this year but that means I got to spend more time at home and more time with family. Anniversary vacations have become some sort of a tradition with us now and we plan our getaways in Feb! Last year, we had a super trip to Kerala. I gained more weight this year and completely failed on my resolve to reduce 🙁 Professionally, last year saw a promotion, a change in profile, boss and big boss. Am still adjusting to the multitude of changes.

On the writing and blogging front though, this year has been FANTASTIC! I wrote my first novel, something I have been wanting to do for a decade now. I can not even begin to tell you how I felt for a few days after winning the NaNoWriMo. Blogging has been great too. I attended tons of blogger’s meets, made loads of new blogger friends and re-acquainted myself with some old ones. Thanks to the Influencer Marketing trend, I even made money blogging. It was not too much, but enough to cover hosting cost and a little extra on the side. All this has given me immense hope that one day I can live off my writing 🙂 Will 2016 be the year? Probably not… but I am getting closer for sure. Jetpack sent me an awesome Annual Report to recap my year. I want to take this opportunity to thank all my lovely readers for reading, following, commenting or simply connecting with me. As a small thank you, I am giving away 5 copies of Second Chance at Love.

I am full of hope for 2016, a year where I look at some dreams getting fulfilled…  A year where I find a balance in life, a year that I look back on and say I was happy this year 🙂

Have a FANTASTIC year ahead people!
