Belief, Gratitude and Bouncing Back

Do you Believe

I have been missing from Blogging and Social Media for some time now. Was busy at work, there was a bit of travel and a whole bunch of things that needed to be done. Then, 2 days back, I tweeted this on a whim…

Immediately, my friends responded like this… given that tweets vanish in seconds and not minutes, I was touched 🙂

Thank you all my wonderful twitter friends! Sometimes a few kind words like these above are enough to cheer a person up and God knows I needed cheering. The stress was getting to me. I was quite ill the last two days and took time off work. A lot of this time went into introspection and I kept thinking why this was happening. Then I realised a few things I had been doing wrong. I was constantly focusing on the negative in my life. The things that slipped the deadline, the things that did not go well and things that were piling up. My mind would constantly slip into the worry zone. No wonder I was attracting more and more stress into my life! Those of you who know the Law of Attraction would relate to this I am sure. If you haven’t heard about it, you should read the book called The Secret by Rhonda Bryne. See, I know the theory behind this law and yet sometimes I am unable to practice it in the best way.

Recently, I came across a fantastic blogger on Indiblogger. Her name is Gargi Akolkar and she blogs at Live Your Dreams. Her blog is all about using this law and the tools in everyday life. The best thing about the blog is that it is not preachy. She shares examples from her life. Everyday examples. She is able to apply the law and connect the dots when she gets her desired result. I really admire her for the way she does it. My heartfelt gratitude to her for the wonderful work she is doing to spread the positivity around.

Coming back to my stress, I am getting back to work today. I know there is a lot to be done and in my renewed positive state of mind, I know it will all fall into place. I know this because I have seen it happen before. I am confident today 🙂 I believe and this belief will propel me in the right direction…

Do you Believe

Hope all of you have a great day ahead too!

Hey, nice to see you back, Ankita. I think a short break sometimes is helpful for us…to rejuvenate our souls… 🙂 I know many eminent bloggers from other countries who ritually take leave from blogging time to time… 🙂

    1. True. They plan and take an intentional break… I just hope my next break is like that as well and because I got overwhelmed! Thanks girl, it is good to be back 🙂

  3. Hi Ankita, Good to see you bouncing back. We all have our bouts of stress from time to time, but have to figure out the best possible way to pull ourselves out of that. It is ok to be away from social media for a while because sometimes excessive social media also causes stress. I have read Secret, and yes I do believe that a positive state of mind does help in bouncing back whereas a stressed out or a whining state attracts more negatives. So I agree it is better to try and remain as positive as possible . 🙂

  4. Hi Ankita, thank you so much for those kind words. I am very happy that my life experiences are able to give you positivity and goodfeeling. Your each comment for my blog posts encourages me to share more and more good stuff but today I am feeling overwhelmed with the love you have shown for my blog. Thanks a ton for this appreciation and encouragement. Keep reading…keep loving. And yes, I am sure you will do fantabulous in your professional as well as personal life with all goodness in life. Continue spreading joy and wisdom with this world through your blog.

  5. Welcome back! I missed you too! I was wondering why the silence. Though I did not say anything, since I myself need to take a break from social media/blogging once in a while to recharge and refresh. You have any theme in mind for upcoming months? I am thinking of a theme for July. Having a theme helps me come up with topics easily. Let’s see. Looking forward to your posts! Keep it up! 🙂

    1. Thanks Jeeru! I haven’t even been reading blogs… hopefully this weekend will catch up on some reading. I agree that a theme makes it easier… but to me it adds a lot of pressure 🙁

What do you have in mind? Maybe a series on how depiction of women has changed in ads over decades?

      1. That’s a very good idea, Ankita. Making note of that and will surely discuss it in the upcoming months. Happy Blogging. Cheers!

Hope you enjoyed reading this post. Let me know your thoughts :)
