Today’s authour is Benjamin Franklin. The Benjamin Franklin Quote I have chosen is
[Tweet “By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail – Benjamin Franklin #AtoZChallenge”]
This quote is one of the most popular quotes in corporate. I have heard this in several planning workshops and I might have used it in a training or two. The first thing I liked about this quote was the word play. I like clever quotes like this!
The message itself is very powerful. When I was just introduced to the theory of abundance and the Law of Attraction, I thought this quote against that. But the quote actually drives a powerful message that can be used in conjunction with the law above. If I wish to attract something, I must also put an effort toward making it true. I must prepare and prepare in advance. The intent, the preparation and the effort together will make my wish come true.

Being well-prepared means job half done! I love this quote too.
Yes… i would totally agree to that 🙂
I’m a big fan of Franklin and of course, preparing. Without it we’re groping in the dark.
Yes… groping in the dark and running around in circles!
Indeed quote played smarter with its words, How can be one fail without trying

I could read an entire A to Z of Ben Franklin. Great start (well, Day 2) to A to Z!
Quite frankly, this one is a constant reminder of how preparation for anything sets ourselves for effective productivity. Even though I believe in Law of Attraction, I need to be alert about not passively waiting for results. I have liked Benjamin Franklin’s quotes. Nice theme here.
Thanks Vaishali… I think the biggest misinterpretation of the law is wishing and waiting 🙂 thank you for liking today’s quote
I’ve grown up listening to this quote all the time and I feel it’s really apt! And when you plan things,it makes you so much more organised!
Cheers
It’s really true, fail to prepare and thats a prep for failure. Ironically, it just fits every thing-lifestyle, raising kids, food habits etc!
Ah yes! I’ve heard that quote multiple times. I like it because not only is it so true, but it’s also easy to remember because of the play on words. Thank you for reminding me of it.

Very clever quote. Preparation is the key!
Such a fabulous quote. I would have thought it was counter productive to the law of attraction too, if I hadn’t read your post. I guess we forget that setting clear intentions also needs a lot of preparation.
