Fab Bag December 2015 Review

Packaging

We could choose our own bag this month. Fab Bag had sent a mail earlier in the month asking us to choose from its past hits. I had missed out on the gold bag so I chose this. It is a gorgeous bag that can also be used as a clutch.

Products

Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Lotion

This too was a selection I made. I had loved the product from October 2015 Fab Bag and chose this over the other options.

Fab Bag December 2015

In the October bag this was priced at INR 545 for 400 ml and this month it is mentioned that the product retails for INR 425 for 50ml. The sample sent is a deluxe 50 ml one.

Sugar Matte As Hell Crayon Lipstick – Mary Poppins

When I had seen these crayon lipsticks, the first shade my eyes were drawn to was Mary Poppins. I was so glad when I found it in my Fab Bag this month! The lipstick came with its own sharpener.

The shade is a gorgeous bright blue based pink. True to it’s name, the lipstick is Matte As Hell. So you can imagine, this is totally my kind of lipstick. I would wear it for some time and then do a detailed review like I did for MAC Ruby Woo. In the meantime, here is a swatch for you.

This sells for INR 799 and the product is full sized.

Kronkare The Frizz Kiss Cooling Explosion Lip Balm

Another perfect winter product. This is supposed to be a cooling lip balm, with peppermint and shea butter. What I liked about it is that this is silicone and paraben free. I can happily use this on my daughter.

The product sells for INR 95 for 10 ml and we were sent a full sized product in this bag.

Lever Ayush Suvarna Poshak Cream

This Ayurvedic concoction is supposed to be a skin rejuvenating cream with herbs like rasayani and tirit. It is supposed to get rid of blemishes and even reduce wrinkles. I had never heard of this brand, this product or even the herbs before I saw this product. Out of all the products received, I was most curious about this one! When I tried this on, the texture was powdery, it did not blend easily and the scent is strong and soapy. Hope it lives up to the skin rejuvenation claim!

Fab Bag December 2015

This retails for INR 210 for 50 gm. The sample sent was 9 gm.

Cuccio Naturale Butter Blend

As you can see from the product selection, this fab bag was all about skin care! We have yet another brand that I have not heard about. The bag contained two different varieties of this body butter. One was the golden yellow one flavoured milk & honey and the second was a foam green in tuscan citrus herb. The butter blend is supposed to be for hands, feet and body. I used this as a hand cream and realised that it absorbs in a jiffy and leaves the hands smooth and hydrated. The fragrance is really mild. The milk and honey variant smells divine!

Fab Bag December 2015

This retails for a whopping INR 2970 for 240 gm and the samples sent are 9 gm each.

Final Thoughts on Fab Bag December 2015

Makeup in a beauty bag always makes me happy so add brownie points for that. They had 5 products instead of 4 like the October Fab Bag and that is a plus as well. I am quite happy with the products sent this month. Going by the sheer numbers, the products are worth approx 1250 INR. For a INR 599 bag, that is very good value for money. The Sugar lipstick itself is more than the price of the bag this month. In my view, Fab Bag December 2015 is a HIT!

  1. Oh I like the Frizz Kiss, but will have to check if it is available here in the US. I am yet to find a lip balm that actually works, without me applying it every other hour. Do you have any recommendations?

Hope you enjoyed reading this post. Let me know your thoughts :)
