Fab Bag October 2015 Review

Fab Bag October 2015

Fab Bag is prepping us for the coming festive season. They have sent a pamper yourself bag with an ethnic touch this October..

Fab Bag October 2015 Edition

Packaging

Fab Bag October 2015
How cute is this raw silk dual toned October Fab Bag?

I am in love with this month’s packaging. The best ever in last 3 months. Have already planned to add my karva chauth goodies in this bag for the puja! It is great for gifting knick knacks but not so much for storage. The loop and button would not hold much 🙂

Products

Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Lotion

This is a well known product in the skin care industry and one that a lot of people love. The formula is thicker than a lotion and just a tad more fluid than a body butter. I suppose that is what allows it to be packaged in a bottle. It smells like heaven. Chocolate heaven! I mean it… I put a little on my hand and elbows and I feel like I am in a chocolatier’s studio! For such a yummy smelling product, the packaging is quite clinical. See for yourself..

Palmer’s Cocoa Butter – Great Product, Drab Packaging

This sells for INR 545 for 400 ml. The sample sent is a deluxe 50 ml one. Perfect for travel to a cold place this winter!

Spa Ceylon Green Mint Cooling Foot Scrub

Packaged in a vibrant green bottle, this minty foot scrub is enriched with virgin coconut and almond oils. A hint of peppermint and lemongrass essential oils give it a very distinct spa like fragrance. I tested a bit of the product and it has a very very gritty texture, making it perfect for foot massages.

Spa Ceylon Green Mint Foot Scrub – Smells like a Spa!

This retails for INR 1100 for 300 gm. The sample sent is a good 50 gm one

Nyassa Oceana Foaming Face Scrub

At first sight, I do not like this product. It has a soapy smell and a thin liquid soap like consistency. The apricot kernels are not harsh so it should work well as a facial exfoliator. However, I would not call this a scrub. In my mind, it is a facewash with exfoliating particles.

Nyassa Oceana Foaming Face Scrub – Scrub or Facewash?

This sells for INR 900 for 200 gms. The sample sent is 30 gm.

Be A Bombshell – The One Stick in Sunset

The One Stick is a multi purpose stick – can be used on the eyes, lips and cheek. Fab Bag had sent a mail out asking for us to choose the products and this was the product I opted for. There were other shades of the one stick and some more makeup options. So far, I am happy with what I chose. I am a sucker for peachy blushes and this one is a perfect shimmery peach. Have not tried it on the lips yet but I have a feeling it will wash me out. I loved the chic packaging of this stick. My only grouse is that it is not retractable back into the tube.

Final Thoughts on Fab Bag October 2015 Edition

Save for the Oceana scrub, I am quite happy with this bag. My three month subscription ended this month and I am seriously thinking of renewing it.
