My Way or The Highway

Lifestyle ProBlog

How often in your life do you come across people who live by this adage? I have seen several. While I had a tolerance for them earlier, I don’t any more. It hurts me when these people are supposed to be close and I am supposed to care for them. However, the “I am always right” attitude just pisses me off.

What about you? How do you deal with such people? Is there a rational way to deal with them?

This post is my entry for this week’s Microblog Monday link up by Melissa

  1. I think it depends on how important they are to my life. If it’s a partner or child, I think the best way to handle it is letting them know how that attitude affects you. If it’s a co-worker or a boss, depending on the situation, trying to focus on the facts and countering their statements that way might help. For anyone else, I tend to walk away – no one needs that kind of bullheadedness in their life.

  2. There is one in my Facebook feed, and I admit that I have to just scroll past. It’s too frustrating to engage, and at the end of the day, it doesn’t matter. Meaning, it doesn’t change anything, and the relationship remains what it is.

  3. Many times have come across such type of people. Sometimes I also behave like this I realised. I know its pain. I am trying to improve myself and not tolerate somebody else’s attitude too. I follow live and let live. 🙂
