Friendship #MicroblogMonday

Can one ever explain friendship? Why you click with someone and why you don’t? Does age matter? Does gender matter? I for one think that friendship can not be explained. I have gotten along with people I least expected to and not seen eye to eye with people I had expected to get well with.

A close friend of mine at work switched jobs last week. I have not even gone to office since then because of Diwali and am already missing him. He was such good company and one of the genuinely nice guys around. He writes well, is a huge bollywood buff and fan of SRK. Is it any wonder we bonded? Oh and if there are any single ladies reading this, he is currently single too!

The picture above is from his ‘best-of-luck-with-new-beginnings’ last week. We had such a good time that by the time the evening ended, we were all a bit emotional about his going away. I know there are ways to keep in touch but there is something comforting in knowing that your friend is just a short walk away!

  1. Hey Ankita, I’m sure the distance wouldn’t be a problem to your friendship at all. 70% of my close friends aren’t in India 🙁 But that makes the bond between us even more special .

  2. Friendship is such a tricky thing, and it’s no wonder when you have someone like your work friend, you’d miss them so much. I hope you’re able to stay in touch (even if it’s not the same). Hope you had a bright and beautiful Diwali!

Hope you enjoyed reading this post. Let me know your thoughts :)
