When I Became a #HauteChef

Okay, I have not changed professions! I was invited to an event hosted by APB cook studio. One of the goodies we got was a DIY gourmet sandwich making box from Haute Chef. Haute Chef is a novel concept that delivers fresh ingredients and the recipe to your home, giving you the chance to whip up a lovely gourmet meal in the comfort of your own kitchen, without having to scrounge for the right ingredients… Thanks to them, I was able to make a lovely Broccoli and pickled Lychee sandwich that everyone at home loved!! Being someone who only cooks sporadically, I was happy! The combination was unusual and I was not sure how it would turn out but everyone from my 5 year old daughter to 60 year old FIL loved it…! The bread stayed so soft even the next day and the quality of the rest of the ingredients was absolutely top notch. The whole thing was so easy that even my daughter jumped in to help me! I loved the experience… the best part is that someone like me who does not cook regularly can experiment with gourmet food.. something I never did before because of the hassle of buying gourmet ingredients and then using only a tiny bit for the recipe. The rest would just go waste! Hautechef solves that problem in a jiffy 🙂 Do you cook at home? What do you think of the idea?
