I have been genetically blessed with decent hair. Coupled with the regular oiling my mom did for the first decade of my life, my hair have not been a problem area for me until recently when they started greying. This problem started a few years ago and I started to look for better products for my hair. I used to be unconcerned about what shampoo I am using and would use any drugstore brand. Sometime back, I was sent Yves Rocher Shampoo Conditioner combo to try out and the brand has been a staple in my hair regime ever since.
The Yves Rocher Shampoo Conditioner range caught my eye because I was looking for products that are silicone and paraben free. I have used the The Body Shop rainforest range and The Body Shop banana range as well. In both the TBS experiments, the shampoo did not suit me. The rainforest shampoo worked well initially but eventually, the prolonged use left my hair dry. The banana shampoo is meant for dry hair and did not work with my uber oily scalp. I still love the TBS banana conditioner though and use it when my hair have had prolonged exposure to dust and sun. Then, I tried the Yves Rocher duo and it fared better than all the other products I have tried so far.
My Hair Texture
I have a very oily scalp. There are times in summer when even my second day hair looks all greasy. This Severus Snape greasy. Most weeks, I wash my hair every alternate day. Even when I am at my laziest, only two days can be let go between washes. My hair is normal but very fine. They are naturally straight and lank. Not having enough volume has been my biggest problem. I have relied on hair cuts to resolve it. Why am I talking about my hair texture? Because products behave differently with different textures. My review is all about my experience with the product and the condition on my hair largely contributes to it. When you are making a choice to buy or not, hope this information will help you make an informed choice.
I started using the Yves Rocher shampoo conditioner duo immediately after finishing my rainforest shampoo which left my hair dry. Hence, I chose to pick products that repaired and treated dry hair.
Yves Rocher Nutri Silky Treatment Shampoo with Oats
The Yves Rocher Nutri Silky Treatment Shampoo with Oats is for repairing dry hair. It has no added colours or fragrances. It is white and looks just like your regular drugstore shampoos. It has a very mild pleasant fragrance that you experience during the wash and disappears soon after. The shampoo does contain sulphates so it does lather but not as much as other popular drugstore ones.
Yves Rocher Nutri Repair Conditioner with Jojoba
The Yves Rocher Nutri Repair conditioner with Jojoba is for very dry and frizzy hair. Like the shampoo, it is colourless but has a more pronounced fragrance. Nothing invasive though; it is slightly fruity, slightly floral. The fragrance disappears a few hours after the wash. What I like about the conditioner is the feel of it. It is not overly thick, spreads easily, washes off easily and yet has such a rich feeling texture.
Effect on my hair
Every time I have used this shampoo and conditioner, my hair has been amazingly soft and smooth hair for the whole day. It appears glossy almost as if you have had a hair spa done. Once or twice, I have used the shampoo on it’s own. The hair was still soft but not as fantastic as using both products together. The best thing about Yves Rocher Shampoo Conditioner was that while both the variants I tried were meant for dry hair, they did not weigh my hair down in any way. The volume was not compromised on. I have noticed this with other brands. The products meant for dry hair weigh my hair down completely. For the reasons stated above, this combo very quickly became my go to shampoo and conditioner combo for special occasions.
Final Thoughts about Yves Rocher Shampoo Conditioner Combo
To conclude, I would like to say that Yves Rocher Shampoo Conditioner combo is a good luxurious shampoo and conditioner combo. It gives you a high street feel without breaking the bank. Yes, they are pricier than your regular drugstore brands but lesser than high street or salon only brands. If you are oily scalped like me, then these are definitely not your everyday products. You can use them like I do, once in two weeks as a treatment or for special occasions for a lovely smooth and shiny mane.

I have very oily and sensitive scalp. I have got them chemically treated before so my hair have got thin and hairfall issues. Please suggest me a good shampoo for oily scalp n hairfall
My hair has turned surprisingly frizzy in the last year or so. I never thought of my hair as frizzy but the search for that magic product for soft hair was always on. Especially since my hair is long now and needs ways to ease managing them. Discovered Frizzease in the US and found my magical hair product. Looking up the shampoo you mentioned too.
Even I have oily scalp and mostly shampoo’s fail to make me a happy hair girl ,would love to try this and see if it works for me or not?

I too stay away from products with sulfates & parabeans. This looks like a great product for someone like me.
I like using Yves Rocher skincare & hair care products. This shampoo sounds good for my dry hair.
This looks like an amazing collection. What’s more impressing is that they’re Paraben & Sulphates free.
