Fab Bag September 2015 Review
FabBag, a beauty subscription bag turns 3 this month. They are celebrating and that reflects in the bag this month! They have not one, not two but three full sized products this month. In addition, there are two samples and a surprise! Did I like this month’s FabBag? Read on to know more…
Third Anniversary Fab Bag September 2015 Edition
It is a deep pink red glittery bag. The quality of the bag is good. It is not flimsy and the glitter does not fall off. That said, this is not your everyday make up bag. It is for something more festive.
There are five products in this third anniversary fab bag. Like I said three of them are full sized. The most hyped product and one that was being talked about is from The Balm!
Stainiac by The Balm in Beauty Queen
A lovely pink Lip and Cheek stain. It claims to have an aloe infused formula making it easier to blend than other stains. I lightly swatched it on my hand the colour seemed quite light. It would be great to give just a hint of colour when you are going for a natural look. This is the first time that a Fab Bag has a product by The Balm.
The product retails for INR 1200 for 8.5 grams and the sample send was 1.1 gms. Though the quantity is not too much, I expect each application would need very little product so this should last a few uses to truly test it out.
Makeup Revolution Focus and Fix Liquid Concealer
Another new brand. The high coverage liquid concealer sounds promising but I am not sure of the shade just yet. I was sent the shade FC07. I have still not ripped off the packaging coz I feel the shade may be a tad light for me. Am sitting on the fence on this one!
This liquid concealer can be bought for INR 550 and the bag included a full size product. Apart from the shade, no complaints on this 🙂
Kama Ayurveda Pure Rose Water
I have used a few Kama products in the past so was excited about this one. It is a basic rose water and a made in India product. This would be perfect to mix my new face mask in! The sample size is great for travelling when you don’t want to pack your full sized astringent.
The fab bag included a very generous sample of 50 ml that you can buy for INR 250
Just Herbs Beauty Elixir
They call this rejuvenating serum Drops of Heaven! It is a night serum that is supposed to nourish your skin and add a youthful glow. I have stopped use of most serums and creams after I started using the washed ghee cream. However, sometimes one needs a miracle worker in their skin care stash. Can this serum be that? It is packaged beautifully and I would definitely try it 🙂
The serum sells for INR 985 for 12 ml as per Fabpost. The sample sent is 15ml!
Skinn Perfume Samples
Skinn is a range of Perfumes by Titan. The sample sent is Celeste for Woman and Raw for Man. Did I not mention about a surprise at the beginning of the post? Well, this is it.. the Sixth product – a perfume sample for men. I gave mine to the husband and he quite liked it. Raw, has top notes of Bergamot and Mandarin and Celeste is a sweet floral scent that is primarily Jasmine. I now have two Jasmine scents thanks to the beauty subscriptions!
Celeste sells for INR 990 for 50 ml and Raw retails or 1790 for 100ml. The samples of course are small vials 🙂
Final Thoughts on Third Anniversary Fab Bag September edition
The bag has two makeup, two skin care and two fragrance samples. I am quite happy with the variety. I would definitely try out all the products apart from the concealer. So this bag gets a thumbs up from me!
