My Envy Box October 2015 Review

My Envy Box turns two and does it in classic chic style! They had been building hype all this month with email teasers and I was really looking forward to it. So did My Envy Box October 2015 live up to the hype? Read on to find out!

Packaging

This month’s My Envy Box is pristine white and proudly declares its age! The watercolour flowers are a nice touch. I liked the packaging and will happily display it on my dresser 🙂

What struck me is how full this box was. I mean honestly, look at it…isn’t it bursting at the seams? As soon as I opened it, a whiff of floral fragrance hit me. The second thing I noticed was the Givenchy logo. Needless to say, my heart gave a little whoop!

L’Oocitane Arlésienne Shower Cream

All the L’Oocitane products I have sampled smelled delicious and this one is no exception. Even though I am not a big fan of floral scents, I liked this. In my opinion, this cream is floral done right!! I am looking forward to using this when the temperatures drop a little and I can enjoy a warm water shower…

The shower cream sells for INR 490 for 70 ml. The sample they sent was 70 ml. It is larger than a travel sized sample.

Kerastase Elixir Ultimate Sublime Cleaning Oil Enriched Shampoo

This shampoo looks like molten Gold. When Kerstase was first launched, it was a big rage. I was excited to see this in my box. When I read the description though, I was not sure if this would work for my super oily hair. Well, I guess I would just have to try and see 🙂

This one sells at INR 750 for 70 ml. The sample size is also 70 ml. Like the L’Oocitane shower cream above, this is bigger than a travel sample.

 

Kerstase Elixir Ultimate Masque

Another Oil Enriched formula! I suppose I should try the shampoo and the masque together to treat my hair to a home spa experience. The masque is supposed to make your hair rich, soft, radiant and shiny and infused with golden splendour. If that is not luxury, what is?

This sells for a whopping INR 1350 for 75ml and the sample sent was full sized!!

Za Total Hydration Amino Mineral Refreshing Gel

This is the product I am MOST excited about in the whole box!! It is supposed to be one of the best moisturisers in the market for oily skin today. After trying out the Za Total Hydration Fresh Foamy Cleanser from the September edition of My Envy Box, I am happy to be sent another Za product. The sad part though is that the sample size is really tiny 🙁

This sells for INR 599 for 50 gm. The sample sent was 5 gm. It is the same sized as that of last month. While writing the review, I had thought that it would last me only 2-3 uses but it lasted me over a week. I needed literally a teeny droplet for my face. Let us see if this Za product is the same!!

Givenchy Extreme Volume Mascara

My first ever Givenchy product! I first heard of this brand in a Lisa Eldridge video. It is a luxury makeup brand and like any self confessed makeup addict, I a thrilled about receiving this! How elegant is the packaging? Can’t wait to try this!!! The shade I was sent is 1, Black Tafetta.

The Mascara sells for USD 32 in Sephora in US. That would be about INR 2000 for 8gm . The sample sent is 4gm and is available online as a travel sized sample.

Final Thoughts on My Envy Box October 2015 Edition

This is the third My Envy Box I have ever tried. I can now say that Team Envy has upped the bar so much that I am spoiled for other beauty boxes. They have an excellent mix of high end products with a mix of fragrances, skin care, hair care and makeup. They are brilliant with customer care. Have you read the story of how they replaced my damaged lipstick? No? Go read it now.
