Happy New Year!
As we get into the new year, I looked back at 2014 and realised that this has been a very eventful year. Here are the highlights of each month 🙂
January
I had a Chinese themed birthday party where both my and my daughter wore matching Qi Paos and posed together. Was loads of fun.
February
Early in Feb was my daughter’s Sport’s Day and they had a story themed sports day. Here are the girls getting ready for rabbit race. They had a crow and stone race too for their class!
March
March is when she graduated from play school. They had an elaborate celebration peppered with performances from students and teachers. Each child was described by a teacher and then called on stage where they were handed a graduation cap and a certificate along with a few gifts. Proud parents we were!
April
It was vacation time and we took a day off. A movie date in the morning for the parents and then sight seeing to Gateway, Marine Drive and Chowpatty.
May
My first formal blogger’s meet. This was the Dove Indiblogger meet. I met Suma and a whole lot of other beauty and lifestyle bloggers. Made new friends like Anuradha, Disha and Suman. You can read more about the Dove Indiblogger meet and see pictures of the fun filled day.
June
My baby started school. Proper Big School! Can you imagine how emotional I was on her first day? She looks all grown up here.
July
My first solo international trip. All others before this have been with family or colleagues. This trip in July was all across the world. I went first to London and then to 3 cities in the US. Met old old friends, made some new ones and left with a longing to return 🙂
August
The Monsoon warrants a trip to Lonavala. Does it not? Here I am goofing with my baby against a backdrop of waterfalls.
September
My daughter turned 4 and I threw the first kids-only party this year. It was a Chhota Bheem theme that she chose since that is her favourite cartoon. We did DYI birthday invitations, custom decor and a pinata. I had as much fun shopping and filling up the pinata as the kids had in picking the gifts 🙂 I bought Chhota Bheem party supplies online from snapdeal and gave out story books as party favors.
October
October was festivals, festivals and festivals! Had a fantastic Navratri with Dandiya dancing and then Diwali with the entire family aster a long time.
November
November started with a trip of the Orient. I spent a few days in Singapore and then in Hong Kong. This was my first time in Hong Kong and I enjoyed the trip to the fullest!
December
December was another month of firsts. I went to freezing Europe! Was in Germany for the first time and I experienced my first snowshower!!! I even did a travelogue post about Munich sightseeing.
Another brilliant post babe! I love the way everything is nicely captured in pictures and short, crisp descriptions! 🙂
Something to look back to when I need to count my blessings 🙂
These are incredible pictures. I have never met any blogger friend, yet. Although did meet a yahoo chat friend in 2002, while I was in nyc!
Hope I meet you sometime!
So cute! Loved all the pics. Best wishes for you and your family!
Aww thanks for your wishes 🙂
Yup 🙂
Truly awesome. One thing which surprised me is about September being the birthday of your daughter and Chota Bheem as her favorite cartoon character. The same is with my daughter as well 🙂
Oh same pinch! What is her name? Isn’t your daughter 4 or 5 years old too? I recollect that they are both in the same age group 🙂 My daughter was given 3 options for her party theme. Chhota Bheem won in a nano second literally!!
Hey Ankita, my daughter’s name is Garima Vats, though nicknamed as Pihu. She is only 2 years old though… Becoming too naughty day by day 🙂
I can understand, as these days Pihu use to visit sweets shop with me and take ladoo and start shouting as Bheeeeeeeeeeemmmm, I thought what happened to her, but my wife reminded me that it is the sound which comes when Bheem eats ladoo 🙂
awww… how cute is that! My daughter’s nick name is Kuhu… they have rhyming names 🙂
Oho that is nice, actually one of my sister who is only 11 months older than Pihu has the name Kuhu 🙂 But yes Pihu and Kuhu sounds too rhyming 🙂
he he… you have a Kuhu – Pihu in your family!
Wonderful! 🙂 Wish you all the more sweet memories in 2015 🙂
Thank you so much Jatin… and wish you the same 🙂
