DIY: Cream Blush

Hi girls, I mentioned wearing a homemade cream blush on Corallista‘s FB pic today and a couple of you were curious. Hence, this post….

My DIY obsession started with a lipcolour. You can read the story here….

To get a cream blush, I used essentially the same technique. I mixed vaseline, Lakme Rose powder and a few old lipsticks and eyeshadows. I did not add almond oil or vanilla essence to it. The final product looks like this…

This gives a nice dewy finish and lasts upto 3-4 hours… I wear it around the house on dull skinned days 🙂

Did you girls like this? Have you done any DIY in makeup?

All the time. My favorite one is making instant eye liners out of eye shadows with MAC fix plus/ELF line sealer or any makeup setting spray. good job!

@ Shimmerlicious, welcome to my blog. While this will not clog pores, it will accentuate them like any other cream blush. Do you use cream blushes?

Great idea ! But hmm i wonder if it would clog my huge pores :(:(. Nice idea though for those with great problem free skin !

@ Manya, I agree we should not use very old stuff… they can have an adverse effect. I think mine were less than two years old and were unflattering so not used at all.. but yeah, they need to be in good condition…
