“Coffee Waale Baabu Mujhe Coffee Pila Do”

While this is a rather bad rip off of a Bollywood song that is doing the rounds these days, this is the most accurate description of me two hours ago. After a busy and eventful weekend, where all my plans of catching up on my NaNoWriMo word count and catching up on several work related things were conveniently chucked out of the window by family and relatives, I was ZONKED last night. I had these grand plans of waking up early and getting work done but only managed to haul my butt out of the bed post 7 am. Even then, I was like, “someone give me coffee!!!” My back hurts and my feet seem to be made of lead.  All I wanted this morning was breakfast in bed or at least a cup of hot steaming coffee to get me started! I have a severe case of Monday Blues…

If I did not have that important thing to finish at work, I would have called in sick today. But that ain’t gonna happen. SO, here I am… rolling my shirt sleeves and indulging myself in a little Monday Morning ritual before jumping right into the day!

Does it ever happen to you? That you just do not want to get up and just wish there was someone to wait on you? Even if for a day?

  1. Coffee wale babu coffee pila do 😛 I am still giggling. Definitely using this line tomm morning is me! 😀 And girl every day off late is this. “Running” around and going crazy 😛

  2. I often experience that. Sometimes you need a mental health day, though it has been years since I’ve taken one and just relaxed the whole day. Sometimes I just want someone else to take care of everything.

  3. There are days when I dont feel like getting up but then the tasks of the day jolt me back to reality and I am up and awake in a jiffy! But there are days when I do not let the rational head come and mess with my ‘feeling blue’ mood 😀

  4. I’m a stay-at-home mom, but I still have days like this – in fact, every day of the week! Every now and then, hubby (or more rarely, one of the kids) brings me a cup of coffee, and I feel like a queen!

Hope the rest of your week goes much easier for you!

  5. Oh don’t I know that feeling! Sometimes I feel like never getting up like Rip van Winkle or Sleeping Beauty but sadly life is not a fairy tale and tonnes of chores keep me going

  6. Does this ever happen to me? It used to happen all the time until I decided to put my feet up and started turning down any offers to make my Sunday hectic post afternoon. When I was working I used to occupy the most comfy seat in the cab so that I could sleep all the way to office.

Hope you enjoyed reading this post. Let me know your thoughts :)
