When I saw this contest on Cee’s page about Flowers in Black&White, I was like this would be easy… I have tons of pictures of gorgeous flowers. Turns out, I was wrong. You take the colour contrast out and the image changes completely. It took me a few tries to realise that a black and white image of a flower is all about shape and texture. Hope you like these… click on any image to launch a slideshow

Lovely collection of picturex, Ankita.
Colour makes flowers very pretty. Take out the colour and you see how defined those flowers really are. It is fun to play with colours, is it not? 🙂
So many beauties! Loved the collection… monochrome has its own charm!
It does.. they look gorgeous… 🙂 thanks for liking it…

Thanks Sri Kri 🙂 That is a nice play of your names!
You are absolutely right, Ankita. Black & white is not just removing the multicolored hues. It’s a perception. It changes the entire outlook.
Very beautiful shots!
Oh yes… a lesson I learnt yesterday… I went back to my collection and looked again for images that would bring out a better perception.. thanks for liking 🙂
Beautiful clicks in monochrome.
Thanks Rupam… these were colour clicks converted to monochrome 😛
