AtoZChallenge – Napolean Hill Quote

Have you attended any self development, self improvement or leadership trainings? Have you read any books that speak about success? The first thing they will tell you is to write down your goal. What do you want to do? Without an answer to this question, how will you measure if you have been successful or not? Many of us struggle with the what. Some of us, who know the what, struggle with the how and hence the when. I will cite my own example here. I have said many times on this blog that I wished to be a published author. I think I write moderately well and this is dream. I always get stuck with the how. How will I convert the story in my head into a novel? I do not know the craft. Not knowing the how keeps me from adding a when to my dream. That is the reason that eve after a decade, it is still a dream.

If there is one thing I learnt from my own experiences trying to use the Law of Attraction, it is that simply wishing for it does not make it happen. I must put in effort in that direction. I must have an end point in life. That vision and my efforts will do the miracle!

Napolean Hill’s book Think and Grow Rich has dominated International Best Sellers lists for decades now. Have you read the book? What are your thoughts about it? Do share!

  1. I have surprisingly never read much of him. As for story telling, well, here’s a fun fact. I am pretty sure I will never get a novel published ever. I have some 20+ short stories published and I read all the hows and whats but I never could get myself to make the leap to a full blown author.

  2. Yes, I have read the book and considered it as Bible in self-help genre. In fact, I’m going use the material from the chapter ‘The Mystery of Sex Transmutation’ in my next post of the series on slut-shaming.

Hope you enjoyed reading this post. Let me know your thoughts :)
