A Walk in The Rain #BookReview

February 10, 2017 February 10, 2017 / Books / By Ankita
A Walk in The Rain

A walk in the rain… isn’t the title of the book itself reminiscent of old world romance? In the world of Slam Bam Thank You M’am kind of flings, the promise of a walk in the rain sounds so very romantic. That was not the sole reason I picked this book by Udai Yadla. The …

Are We A Generation of Anxious Parents?

December 13, 2016 December 30, 2017 / Parenting / By Ankita
Goofing in Lonavala

My daughter was sick last week. She missed school almost the whole week. Missing school means missing out on lessons and falling behind your studies, a whole lot of homework and catch-up when you get back to school and a whole lot of worry for the parents and children. This seems like a pretty common …

5 Lessons I Learnt From NaNoWriMo

December 5, 2016 November 1, 2022 / Lifestyle / By Ankita
Writing

This year, I did not complete the NaNoWriMo. At the beginning of November, I was so so sure that I would nail it this year. I had a story line with the plot twists and turns, characters straight in my head  and even the book cover down. In the first three days, I did more …

Terra Chips – A Gourmet Snacking Experience

November 29, 2016 June 10, 2017 / Food / By Ankita
Terra Chips

What is your first impression when I say Gourmet? I think of miniscule portions, elaborate presentations, punch of flavours, play of textures… basically, lots of visual drama but not enough food to fill your stomach. However, I always associate gourmet with a plate. So a pack of chips meant for gourmet snacking was unique for …

And then there are e.v.e.n.t.s.

The latest @wmcdxb meetup reminded me why I keep showing up - thoughtful conversations, practical takeaways, and a community that feels real.

@priyammahajan2787 shared sharp, simple truths about brand building. No jargon. Just the kind of wisdom that makes you pause and rethink.

What I liked most — this wasn’t just a keynote. We got into group exercises and applied what we heard, right there.

And no, @nehaagarwal28 hasn’t signed me on as WMC’s brand ambassador. I just really like the space this community holds.

Also, I Love the pictures Tanya Anand took. Thank you for making us look fab!

Let me know what you think…
“B2B marketing is boring.” Only if you think i “B2B marketing is boring.”
Only if you think it’s supposed to look like a Nike ad.

The truth? You’re not selling sneakers.
You’re selling complex products to multiple stakeholders.
Finance. IT. Legal. Ops. Leadership.

This isn’t about impulse. It’s about alignment.

Until you’re a household name in your category, you don’t need to be clever.
You need to be clear.
Again and again.

That’s where the real work happens.
And honestly? It’s my favorite part of the job.

I am just amazed at the accuracy and level of detail AI was able to capture. This image used a simple prompt in Chat GPT. I used the model 4o, shared the image and asked it to convert to Studio Ghibli style.

Have you tried it?

Also, a nod to the unique style developed by Studio Ghibli. Infringing on your IP is not the intention here. But looking at the way the internet has embraced your style, it seems like a baby you birthed that has been released into the world. Everyone loves it! So thank you for giving it to us. @ghibliusa.
I just learnt from @divsigupta that today in Inter I just learnt from @divsigupta that today in International Mountain Day. My relationship with mountains can be described in one word - Tumultuous. When I was very young we’d do roadtrips across Maharashtra. The Ghats always had me feeling sick, and scared. In my head, I’ve tried to romanticize the mountains. But I’ve never really enjoyed them. Now, I understand that perhaps Mountains are not for me. Just like some people in our lives we meet, and like, who don’t like us back.
Nonetheless, here’s a nod to mountain lovers on International Mountain Day
Story Time! I was so obsessed with the @nyxcosmeti Story Time! I was so obsessed with the @nyxcosmetics_arabia Soft Matte Lip Creme in 2010s. Once I travelled to a neighbouring town in US to buy one. Got the shade Milan recently. It is a bright Pink that can light up the face! Can you see how excited I get about Lipsticks?
